I often get this Question: How can I fit XY sound better into my mix? After EQ-ing the next best thing to do is to create some space for different elements.

I do it with using just 3 Different Reverb Sizes:

Small / Medium / Large

Second thing I do, is: I EQ-ing the Reverb to make it a bit tighter and glued together.

In this video you'll see how I like to think and use reverbs and an actual example how a pad fits way better into a track with reverbs. It actually falls and ties together in almost a magical way.

But honestly, the only thing I did was using different sizes of reverbs and sending different Tracks to them.

End of summer deal, 50% off and what not wants to trick us to buy new plugins...

But what is actually the trigger to buy those kind of deals?

Is it the actually NEED or is it just because this thing is discounted?

If one wanted it anyway, and planed to buy it anyway ok, go for it with the discounted offer.

But what I found is, that I often purchased such things without even much of a thinking, it was just an impulsive buy.

And I didn't even used it as much as I probably would have if I paid the full price for it.

Ohh...and then there are all those CRACKED plugin bundles, that we could get just for FREE, at a fingertip I guess.

SOOOO MANY OPTIONS...Soo much overwhelm. But do we really need all the waves bundles, the soundtoys, all the synth plugins etc.?

What I found for myself was, that buying plugins and software rather than get a cracked version really helped me to honestly overthink all my gear / software purchases and second guessing what I really wanted to learn.

I also think the workflow and quality improved, because I had less tools but knew them better. So maybe it's true:

Limitation enhances creativity.

In this video I will share my thoughts about that and maybe it helps some people out there as well.

Hope it helps.
